Privacy Policy

The short version
We collect what we need to send you a plant and nothing else. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and your card details never reach our servers.
What we collect
- Order information — name, email, shipping address, phone number, and what you bought.
- Email address — if you subscribe to our list or ask for a restock alert.
- Messages — anything you send us through the contact form or by email.
- Basic server logs — IP address, browser, and requested page, kept by our host for security purposes.
What we do not collect
Card numbers. Payments are processed entirely by Stripe on Stripe's own servers. We receive a confirmation that a payment succeeded plus the last four digits — never the full number, expiry, or security code. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by their privacy policy.
How we use it
- To pack and ship your order and send you tracking.
- To answer your questions.
- To send you our newsletter, if and only if you asked for it.
- To keep records we are legally required to keep for tax and business purposes.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making of any kind.
Who we share it with
Only the parties needed to complete your order:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Shipping carriers — your name and address, so they can deliver the box.
- Our web host — which stores the site and its database.
We never sell, rent, or trade your information.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to remember what is in your shopping cart and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. It expires when you close your browser. We do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
Your rights
Email russ@tropiplants.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We are required to retain order records for tax purposes, but everything else can go. Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
