Coffee is a genuinely excellent houseplant that most people never think to grow. Glossy dark green leaves, jasmine-scented white flowers, and then cherries that ripen bright red and contain the two beans you already know what to do with.
It actually prefers the filtered light of an indoor spot over full sun, which makes it one of the few plants here that is happier inside than out. A mature plant yields roughly a pound of green beans per year.
